Flow Capacities

Flow rates are based on a 1psi pressure drop per 100 ft. of pipe with couplings in a “straight line,” and measured at standard atmospheric conditions: 1013 mbar (14.7 psi) at 20 C – (68 F).

NOTE: For loop systems, flow rates can be doubled. Also, it is vital that the pipe size between the compressors and the loop system’s connection can accommodate the full capacity of the combined compressor output.

For more detail, refer to the chart below.

Pipe Internal Diameter CFM @ 125 psig CFM @ 150 psig CFM @ 175 psig CFM @ 218 psig
20 mm (3/4") 36 39 42 48
25 mm (1") 76 81 88 99
32 mm (1 ¼") 146 158 171 189
40 mm (1 ½") 266 291 310 348
50 mm (2") 476 526 565 627
63 mm (2 ½") 881 965 1047 1153

For best results, compare chart to compressor manufacturer’s equipment flow rates/sizes. Always select a pipe size that allows for future system expansion. The chart above allows for a minimum 15% expansion increase.
